Overview

Main goal of the AGRICOM project is to establish the first Competence Model for the Agricultural Sector (ACM) in order to strengthen the transparency and comparability of VET opportunities at European level.

AGRICOM stands for Transfer of the Water Competences Model to AGRIcultural COMpetences and is supported and funded by the European Commission.

AGRICOM National Workshop in Greece

The AGRICOM partners AUA and Agro-Know organize the AGRICOM National Workshop in the premises of AUA in Athens, Greece, on the 15th of February 2012.

AGRICOM National Workshop in Germany

The AGRICOM partner IGZ organized the AGRICOM National Workshop in the premises of IGZ in Großenbeeren, Germany, on the 14th of February 2012.

The national workshop at the Leibniz-Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops in Großenbeeren, Germany greeted 12 participants, particularly from the horticultural sector. The hosts of the workshop likewise gathered feedback from the participants and intend to incorporate their suggestions into the development of the AGRICOM Competence Model.

Objectives

Main objectives of AGRICOM project are:

1. Identifying and analysing targeted needs and competences that are required by the labour market for specific use cases and jobs from several fields of the agricultural sector.

2. Transferring and adapting the generic WACOM competence model towards the AGRICOM competence model (ACM) allowing more agricultural use cases.
